Went out there yesterday and water was very high, boardwalk was very nice! Very dark for the first 40 feet, then slightly dark until 70 feet. Clears up really nice after that.
The basin at Eagles Nest had 50-60 ft vis.

How far is the sink from where you park?

It's a decent walk. They have posts blocking pulling off of the main road so you can't park too close. I'd guess it's half the length of the Jug walk (about). It's really not bad. Back in the day it was a pain because there was a huge tree down in the middle of the trail that you had to get over (we used a cart and it was a pain with the tree), then had to deal with the knee deep mud.
I parked on the main road yesterday. It was a fair walk just to get to the boardwalk. A dolly or wagon will make your life a lot easier. The boardwalk itself is not that long and very nice.
