We had a great dive here on Sunday.

I assume you had the permission written on a Subway napkin right?

If not, then it was not official and you will be reported.

I had a handwritten note from the "manager" of the "establishment" across the street. I think the place is called the LINK REMOVED?

Ok, that establishment is also permit approved. Glad you had a nice dive.

Link edited by Chip on 7/6/06: Link references about lap dancers, strippers, porn and prostitution aren't allowed on this forum.

You are kidding me right? The Brass Flamingo is a landmark on how to get to the site.

Where exactly is the rule that you mentioned? I can't find it on the "Rules" page. The rules page does make the following statement - This forum is intended to be an open, liberal and unbiased forum, but the owners, moderators and sponsors reserve the right to edit and/or remove any message or graphic that break the following rules:

And of course there is the home page statement "Moderators do not monitor the accuracy of the content of threads posted here, and the opinions posted herein are personal opinions, and as such can be misleading and/or inaccurate."

Lately, it seems that moderators just make up rules on a whim and change posts whenever they would like. Is there ever going to be a REAL list of rules or is the policy of modifying posts on a whim of an individual going to be continued? Does the modification of posts irk anyone else?

At times yes, but not when there is justification for it. Sorry dude, I'm no prude and I am sure some found the link to the ho's amusing, but I agree with Chip on this one. That link served no real purpose on this forum.

If we're going to bring that into the "justification" to remove posts, then can someone explain to me the purpose of Matt the Dreamer posting on a cavediving forum?

If I recall correctly, Matt's firsts posts here were to inform everyone of his goals and to solicit support from divers to help him in accomplishing his goals. I am surprised Joe that you would even think to compare the two. The link in question could cause this site to be listed as one not acceptable for viewing at some stations, that was the thought behind my comments. I was in no way offended by it nor any of the other stuff that has been debated in the past, but I can see where some might find objection to it. I salute Matt for even trying to accomplish what he has, let alone going forward with his dream. I could really care less about which ho's have been arrested for various charges
