Actually the reason I ask is that Anjanamba is now over 29000ft so I was wondering if it might be Africa’s longest flooded cave

Ethiopia has the longest reported dry cave in Africa. Sof Omar is 16 km long. How long is Malazamanga now?

    Nice job there!

Check with the Speleological Exploration Club (SEC). They are an old South African club that have explored all over the African continent. There are cave diving members in the club, so they may be the most reliable folks to contact:

My guess is that the caves you are exploring are the longest flooded caves in Africa. The folks above can probably confirm this.

Phillip, the way you phrase your post makes it sound like you’re looking to stroke your ego.

I don't see it that way. I thought he was asking a question to see if his cave was the longest in Africa. I would definitely be proud of their achievement. Diving in 3rd world countries is a completely different than diving in Florida. The logistics are often overlooked.

I was trying to confirm this information BEFORE making the announcement.
