    Default Dive Rite LS modifications

Just wondering what modifications have people made of any to the dice rite ls ? Especially if you prefer to not use the ring bungee system ?

I do not use the ring bungie. Just loop over the tanks.
I also moved the inflator hose to the left side. Just my personal choice.
Love mine. Fit perfect with only minor adjustments.

Added John Weston bungees for stages. We attached these at the lower screw point of the rails using O2 bottle attachments(a piece of belt loop with an eye that can be screwed to the underside of the door handle). I got rid of all the low profile hardware and replaced with regular D-rings, added a set of D rings to the waist belt for the Weston Bungees, moved the corrugated hose to the left, and that's about it. Got rid of the star screws that hold the door handles and replaced with Phillips. Got rid of my canister light. Use small back ups on the straps. Seems to be pretty streamlined and functional with 85's and a couple of stages. inflator on left. Old school bungees. Love it.

The Weston method is just a bungee attached to the back of the bc that goes across the top mounted stages and was attached to a d ring on the sidemount bottles. It sounds like now they may be attaching to the waist belt as is done in the Neto method. The problem I encountered with the Weston method were 2 things. 1 the rigging was left on the bc and thus provided an additional entanglement hazard especially if you forgot to clip off the bungee. The next was the bungee was clipped to a d ring on the sidemount tanks and as the stages got light it pulled up the sidemount bottles. This is especially true with the lighter Fabers. I have been playing with the adjustable version that the Razor guys have been using in Mexico and I am liking that. I can put the bottle on top or bm without changing the rigging.

On issue with the unit is the buttplate is not hardmounted. Its hanging off the belt. My wife puts her left tank on first and every dive the left tank hangs lower than the right because the buttplate slides. We're going to use book screws to center it though we've been saying that for 2 years. It annoys her some. She is also very small and skinny and I think if I tried it I wouldnt notice it. It may be a size thing but something to be cognizant of.
