    Default Ginnie Springs.....

Just received a phone call from a staff member at Ginnie Springs who wanted me to post that Ginnie will be opening Fri 22nd Oct....

Presumably the Ballroom will be open and hopefully the Eye and Ear also but please call ahead to check...

And on a personal note, it's about bloody time

    Safe diving,

    Rich

If eye and ear, I'll be up. It's been just too long since I've been in the water. Need a few "shake out" dives.

    Default Devil's

Well, has anyone heard about the status of Devil's? I talked to Reggie yesterday and he told me that they were going to make the determination yesterday whether or not Eye/Ear will be open tomorrow. What's the good word?

Is it clear? No? Well....let's go anyways.

I "heard unofficially" about 10 mins ago that the Ballroom's open, but the Eye and Ear are not due to the fact that the road on back from the Ballroom is UW...

Wouldn't this be a good time to lay line from the waters edge & use a snorkel to swim into the run? We could remind people what a snorkel is for those who haven't used one for years.
    Have a good day!

Went and talked to a staff member this morning.....the Ballroom's open and looks awesome (for a cavern ), but apparently the Eye and Ear are still closed. I parked just past the Ballroom where the road is blocked off and walked down the road (which is high and dry). Turkey Roost is underwater and there is a small amount of standing water between the bathhouse and the Little Devils parking lot. The deck at Little Devil's is partially underwater, but I was able to walk down to both of the far decks by the Santa Fe which are above water (on either side of the run) and there are visible boils both at the Ear and the Eye. Hopefully they'll open it up........but there's definitely no need for a snorkel, unless of course your back itches

    Safe diving,

    Rich

They extended my annual pass 1 month in 1998 after the last flood.
