Favorite Caves:
Following below are some of the sites I frequented & remain to be my favs:
A: Little River
Because it is there & easy to get into. Also because of the massive flow at certain times of the year demanding finesse & skill sets to dive it properly. If you are not up to it, Little River will make you a better diver all the way around. The times have changed with regards to current gear, but you will still need strength & wisdom to dive it properly. Your deco tables & gas mixtures will play a big part of your planning, depending on the set up you are using. {OpenCircuit or RBs}. This is one of the caves that will make you a better diver.
B: Bonnet
A shallow system and tight passages with numerous jumps & T's to thread your way thru spending the better part of a whole day exploring. I loved this site. It is too bad that restrictions are in place for the average cave diver to enjoy.
C: Luraville System
Another shallow water cave to explore and relatively safe from the masses. I enjoy the tranquility of this cave. Again with restricted access.
D: Telford: Many unique passageways and karst windows to poke ur head thru. At this point apparently river access is the only way in today.
E: Ginnie:
A great cave system for all levels to enjoy. I do not have the amount of time I wished I could have had to explore here. Unlimited visability & always one of the best places to dive.
F: Cow:
Many enjoyable dives here. Close to the Wes Skiles/Peacock Springs State Park system.
G: Gun Powder:
Hidden from the general public, and mostly off limits to everyone. A gem deep in the woods west of Williston. Limited access was granted to UF falculty by the property owner. 120' + with both cavern & cave zones. Unlimited visability & never blown out.
H: Peacock Springs & Orange Grove
Of Course the standard of most training & recreational cave systems. Always a favorite of mine.
Fal42:
Restricted & privately owned. No access available. A deep Limestone outcropping with a sky blue pool of water at the bottom of it. Does not go far, but was always one of my favs until access was closed off.
There are many more unnamed places that I could mention, but I cannot describe them as I've not dove them. Please feel free to add to this thread....It would be interesting for others to see who & where are they diving.
Enjoy !
