I would definitely like to see a better LR map. I think they all are lacking and I think you hit it on the head with perspective/format. The best map is the one on the wall in Cathy's (not sure who's that is), but you can't get them anymore.

    Next question:

What is your opinion on including the lines on the map. I personally greatly prefer a map like the Hancock with the lines on it. It gives me an idea of what to expect, but I always plan for what I see on the map not to be there. But often seeing the lines helps get a better understanding of what a tunnel you may have never seen before was or where it goes. Obviously that adds to the work and the lines can change dramatically, so I see the negatives against it. Your thoughts would be interesting (or anyone else's).
I personally like including lines on the map. However, I am in the minority. Most people don't because you run the risk of having an obsolete map once the lines change. But whatever, I find it useful when other people do it, so I will as well.

Unfortunately after Jeff came out with his map (which was originally all black with the passages in white), the cave took a significant beating. IMHO it was because people now knew where the lines were at, instead of having to actually put in a reel and go find them on their own. Such is progress, but it was so much fun hanging out with him and listening to the stories at his place by Blue, when he was finishing that sucker up! BTW I've never seen anybody pull a barrel roll while exiting on a 26 at full speed between the Keyhole and the Lips quite like that man...
