Well, most of us will never have the opportunity to do a dive like that, but we can try something that could be pretty challenging. Like a competition where you have four teams of divers at Orange Grove. Each diver has to drink a whole six pack before entering the water. Another six pack is waiting at Challenge, Olsen, and the last six pack waiting on the steps at P1. The first team that drinks all their beer, and makes it to the tailgate wins.

You've never done that John??? I do it on every trip to cave country. I like to called the dive the "Grand Slam" instead of the grand tour.

Very impressive. Politics aside, doing 20,000 feet in a cave, at one time is pretty kick ass. In addition to video, I'm sure they've got survey data to back up their claim.

I agree that Wakulla should be open to all qualified cave divers. But there are two truths everyone should remember:
1. Life is not fair.
2. Nobody cares.

Man Bill, you are right about that one. We should be happy that we can still dive any caves, and appreciate the efforts of all the people that try to get new caves opened up.

Discovery HD Theater just aired the footage of this last night. I only saw about 45 minutes of the hour long program. Hoping to DVR it next time. Very informative.. They even talked about a lake that drained itself about 25 miles from the Springs and how it may have happened..

If you all would simply sign up for Caver95's sneak diving course you could dive where ever you want... but you have to get the card first so you can leave it on your dash board in the wee midnight hours during your dive.
