There was a dry connection, but this is about wet cave and that connection is new. There is a larger dry cave, Mammoth cave with over 650km (405m).

A lot of cave divers seem to think dry connections don't count for some reason....

Quite an accomplishment - congrats to the explorers. Does anyone know where the connection was made? The general area at least? The only thing that seems clear is that it wasn't the deep connection between the Pit and the Blue Abyss that others had tried so hard to make to link the two systems.
