How come the same thing doesn't happen with beer? :-O

It does! You can't go to any bar or grocery store or gas station around here without seeing lots of Canadian beer that slopped over the border.

Evidently Canada has more beer than they can drink, though most of the Canadians I know, including my Quebec and Nova Scotia relatives, are doing the best they can.
