Do you have to use a tri-mix?

Why do I like cave diving? It's the one place where my kids can't follow me.

If you want to dive it on deep air, be my guest. We need more shark food around here - there's nowhere near enough....

You should ask your loved ones that question

Is it clear? No? Well....let's go anyways.

I think that is the big question. Until we hear back from the first divers we won't know what (if anything) is in recreational range, and what is strictly technical.

I just can't wait to do touch and goes with my scooter along the flight deck

215 to the sand. Flight deck should be right around 130ish; hanger deck at 145ish, and of course "inside" below that.

The island should be anywhere from 60 to 130ish.

This assumes she came down upright or close to it. I suspect she did, from being there to see her sink - but we'll have to wait for official word on that, either from the Navy or from the first divers who go visit her once they allow diving (expected either tomorrow or Saturday.)

Using figures from the USS Saratoga (bottom 190ft, bridge 40ft, deck 90ft, flight hanger 125ft), you could resonable expect the bridge to start at 62ft, deck 112ft, flight hanger 147ft, bottom 212ft. I would guess that the Oriskany would be slightly larger than the Saratoga, putting these figures slightly shallower. This would put a chunk of the ship in the "acceptable air range".

    Blah-blah.

You don't make any cave dives below 100' without Trimix, right?

No Devil's on Nitrox, no JB, no Hole in the Wall, etc?

    Pot, meet Kettle.
