Dove this morning... viz is 30-40' pretty much everywhere. We headed towards the hill 400 side of the cave and viz was a consistent 30-40 w/greenish haze... kindy of spooky compared to normal Ginnie conditions. Flow is pretty much normal and the spring run/river is way up compared to normal. I would say it is 7' deep in the area most like to stand and gear up at little devils. I did my 10' stop lying on the edge of the eye in open water looking down at the spring. spring run is clear/green and again probably 40' of viz or so. we only ended up as far as the maple leaf and viz did not improve... not sure what it looks like further upstream.

Has anyone been to Ginnie this week? Has the visibility returned or not yet?

my buddy dove it this past weekend... said it was much better, not perfect but much improved. Viz in the 60+ range fairly consistently throughout the cave. They did say they went into double domes and in the second dome it was nasty low viz.. almost like a wall of cruddy water. Sounds like the system is on it's way back to heathy Ginnie viz.

Don't know if it's still the case, but 2 weeks ago double domes were half filled with remaining tannic water from the flood. Looked like an "inverted lake", pretty cool effect if nobody's stirred it up before.
