Check the website or call. The report was state parks in Irma's path were closed until notice. Many had extensive storm damage and no power. Scooter wants to go out and play...got a Frisbee???....LOL

the gages are also offline for manatee. was curious of the flow dynamics. i expect it to be high still. the big wave hasnt reached that far yet. With Suwanee and Santa Fe combined, that will definitely rise!

That doesnt help me any. I live 2 hours from Ginnie or Manatee, so I drive up early in the AM and am back home in the afternoon. Can't do that at JB and don't have enough days off in a row to make it worthwhile.

That's the biggest reason we always skip manatee. We usually have to dive Sunday's and drive up the 2 hours the morning of. It sucks when you get there at 830 and get turned away.

I'm don't think they get a lot of divers during the week. I have shown up there around 1pm on a wk day and got in with no problem.

It's too bad the UF people tie the whole capacity for the day for something they could probably do at Fanning. ...assuming that's clear at this point.

Unfortunately, they can't use Fanning. It was a rescue class, and they had to do scuba dives to depths in excess of 20' per standards. As I recall, the deepest you can get in Fanning is around 16' if you're digging in the sand.

As for conditions, Adam and I had a nice scooter ride on Saturday. When you get past the Milk Tunnel (approximately 1100' past Friedmans) visibility improved to around 60' and stayed that way as far as we went. Flow was down a bit compared to August, but still higher than Peacock.
