Need parts for a Genesis 300 bar valve...

Hey Gang,
Just recently picked up a pair of old Sherwood Genesis 3500 psi PST doubles from a friend. Wanting to take them apart for a side mount rig. I need the plug for the left hand valve (left hand while on your back,right side on the bench) when removing the manifold. It's the left hand thread plug and not having any luck locating one. Valves are the old 7/8 UNF thread.
Gimme a holler if anyone has anything laying around. Would take a valve if the price was right.

Just a quick note on the parts that I was Looking for. Talked with my buddy at Light Monkey and he found me a couple of replacement plugs at a local facility in North Florida. Now need to find me a good side mount rig.

I've just done exactly the same thing (taken the Genesis manifold off and broken down two 3500 PSTs with 7/8 UNF threads for sidemounting). Except, I gave up on the left hand plug - the parts guy up at Sherwood confirmed they never manufactured plugs for these manifolds. I've resigned to having two right-hand valves. I'll wear them with the knobs in against my chest, therefore my right tank will have the first stage on top and my left tank will have it underneath. I'll have a play with it up at the quarry before going into a cave, just to make sure the hose routing doesn't compromise my access to the knob for a quick shut-down. I've got one valve already and apparently the second one (not yet seen) has an angled port, probably like the Genesis manifold, so I will probably put that on my right hand tank, to move the first stage just a few mm further away from the knob. We'll see when I get them set up.

I like these tanks - midsize and denser than Fabers.

I also spoke with the guys at Genesis and he even checked with their repair dept. but to no avail. I spoke with my friend at Light Monkey and he sourced a set of plugs from someone there in North Florida. The threads are a pretty common thread and actually the caps off the end of my ScubaPro valves did fit. Except they seal with an o-ring as opposed to a stem with two o-rings. The plug for the right hand was easily sourced but the one with left hand threads was tricky. I bought a pair so that they would be uniform. They have a bolt head instead of screwing in flush with the outside of the valve. Problem solved. I can let you know the source when I get them in if you want? Now I just need to decide on the side mount system that I want to use.

That's very generous of you, thanks, but I've decided to just switch to two standard 7/8 UNF DIN valves and not mess around with non-standard parts.

I got the plugs from my buddy Joel Clark at Light Monkey there in cave country. I don't know if he had them in stock or he sourced them from another local shop. Give 'em a call or when I talked to him again I'll find out for you. They did fit the bill and solved the problem of the left hand thread valve.
Working,now,on trying to figure out which side mount system that I want to use. Have several friends who side mount so should be able to try some different rigs.
