Purchasing line in bulk?

I need to purchase several thousand feet of line to replace old, stained line in a quarry system. We'd prefer #36 for the project, but #24 is fine too.

Does anyone have a source for bulk nylon line? DGX only sells Dacron in huge quantities.

We're also considering installing some gold line in the system. Where's the best place to buy that?

Memphis Net & Twine for #24 or #36. I have heard of some place in Canada that is a little cheaper but I can't remember the name of the supplier there.

The cheapest is yellow paracord 550. There is also a heavier version paracord 750, which is what NACD used to use. It is a little larger, and stronger. The NSS-CDS gets theirs from PMI, but it is a lot more expensive.

Yeah, the one commonly referred to by that name. True Blue is actually the next one to the north though; the correct name is Esperanza or Albertson.

Hey Mike, thanks for the donation. I don't think we formally met but I'm friends with Confuted. We successfully replaced the shallow / "lobster" line with brand new #36 a few weeks ago. I posted an update here: http://www.cavediver.net/forum/showt...ue-Blue-Quarry

We'll try to keep everyone informed of any line changes but we're mainly trying to keep everything the same as far as tie-offs, routes, and navigational decisions.
