Referring to Martin Springs? Landowner has cracked down. If you want access I can give you his number but he's pretty peculiar.

If you're unable to find it then we will mock you endlessly and question your caver credentials.

Exiting is where you could potentially get lost, but I feel like that is one of the least mazy caves that you're going to haul gear to a sump. Shouse is working on it, so maybe send him a PM about details.

I was actually talking about dry part from the pit side, where is the true lead down? I'm not familiar at all about how far it goes before meeting a stream. Visited the spring several times and always wanted to dive it. Seems like landowner is generous to allow public access to it as a historical landmark.

Follow the elephant tracks. There's a well-worn path from the bottom of the pit to the stream. Coming out of the cave, be sure to remember that junction.

I get the impression that the spring landowner doesn't actually allow access to it, but is unable to do anything about people stopping at the side of the road and running on to the property. Either Forrest or Josh mentioned that the landowner said his cabin had gotten broken into more than once. Its unfortunate to have such a gem and people don't respect it. Josh can probably give you details about the spring landowner.

The upper entrance is owned by a different landowner and access there is more difficult. I remember them mentioning several hoops to jump through because there's a lessor of the property. That and you need 4WD and a map.

I went by there this weekend, and the gate was closed. I am wondering if the lessee has gone out of business. One could always walk

Ary, I gave you access to the Tennessee forum. I usually post when the are going up that way. Blowout Blue is very close to Martin spring, so we can do both the same weekend.
