A dive team pulled a blue Dive Rite reel Friday, it's been in place a few weeks, it has 50 ft and Ripley written on it.

You posted this yesterday and I moved it to the Lost and Found section.
Whatever.
10-4 I was wondering where it went.

That must be Bill Ripley's reel. He is Jeff Hewlett's buddy. They always stay at Cathy's. If you could bring it by or I will come and get it for Bill. They were down here about a month ago and did a lot of long dives in Peacock.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.
No one was stealing anything, we knew it was being pulled before
it was removed from the system. I did talk to Cathy first and she told me who it belongs to, I didn't remember Bill's last name, he can pick it up there when he next comes to town.

I was under the impression that it is contrary to the rules to leave reels in the Peacock system overnight. Am I mistaken?Originally Posted by PSSP

It was reported that the reel had been in there for several weeks/months. As it was on the loop past the crossover tunnel jump up the peanut line that only goes from the mainline back to the mainline, thought it would be better to pull it versus having people go in seeing where it went. Only one end of it was jumped, we figured it was better to report it to Janet and give it to her when it was pulled. Sorry if it offended anyone. 8)
