Took the kids swimming at Lafayette today. Couldn't believe the vis. 30+ easily. Dive it now if you're gonna.

Can anyone chime in on diving rules/access for Lafayette Blue?
Haven't dived there in decades, may want to take advantage of a good viz window...?
Idk rules. I think they're just like any state park. Rangers there were nice. Its a very odd system with all of the sinks. Kelly gave me the advice of starting at the spring head the first dive. I think thats good advice. We turned it at the first sink due to bad viz and buried line. Looking forward to going in at trap soon.

There's nothing complicated. Just show up and dive. If the ranger pay station is manned they may check your C cards. If not pay the iron ranger and leave the cards on the dash.
I've never had a problem there and the rangers have always been nice. I went in at the head spring and went up through three or four sinks. Getting through snake sink is more of a walk or crawl depending on how high the water is.
It's a beautiful cave and if you can hit it when the vis is good you'll love it.
