NFSA board meeting 1/30 8pm via conference call

The NFSA has a board meeting scheduled at 8:00 pm tonight and would greatly appreciate member involvement and feedback. The NFSA has some projects on the agenda that will involve significant funding, and we would like to solicit your feedback or suggestions. The NFSA is getting started on projects in several of our parks. First, we will be working on an interpretive trail for Lafayette Blue Springs State Park. The trail will be a figure eight loop around snake and green sinks and provide information about karst geology, the cave system, water quality, and the plants and animals found in the area. At Madison Blue Springs State Park we will be creating a new kiosk with surface features and the cave system. There will also be a sign discussing karst geology. Lastly, we are looking into repairing the steps leading to the water at Peacock 1 in Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park. We are still exploring what repairs are needed and ways to minimize disruption to access during construction. All of these projects are made possible through the generous donations of time and money by our members and supporters. Check back for updates as we proceed.
