Your right there is not an updated map, which would be nice. But yes there still is and has been exploration out in that direction. But the group of people that are doing the dives are a rare breed in cave diving. They can go thousands of feet out there, lay hundreds/thousands of feet of line, and not tell anyone but there friends. Its almost like they do it just because they love cave diving and not being praised

It'll be real interesting to see if an open connection to the Gulf is ever made.

Walter Pickell has the best map I have seen so far. I don't know where he got it, but it has alot more detail than the ones we have been using.

How do we get a copy of it, or is it posted somewhere?

Talked to Walter today, he is going to send me one over the computer. When I get it, you'll get it.

I have 2 pieces I use. The first is the map available on my site (Wayne's World Page) that has scribblings all over it from learning new parts and the second is a 1M DOQQ image with the system superimposed on it...

    DeepSea:

The early survey sketch is the original stick map that I had before the Mainstreet tunnel and Shortcut tunnel were discovered. After the Mainstreet tunnel was discovered and mapped to about p3500', I got a copy of that stick map from Mike Garmon. He was the one who first introduced me to that cave system.

I've never heard of the "Heart Of The World" section and have no idea where it is in that cave system.

The line overview map is what John LaManna has and what we used on our last dive.

    John:

I'll be looking forward to seeing that map.

Are you taking all this in?

    Lee:

I guess we can do it again in May after you've had a break from your week of diving with Mathias. John and I may dive it again on April 19th.
