What kind of connector does it use?
It has a sealed battery canister with banana plugs inside.
Is there a travel position?
Yes, you insert the head turned 180 degrees. Then the banana plugs sit in holes without electrical connectors, and are insulated. Very neat system!

btw, how old is this light/battery approx?
Bought it in 2012 and has about 150 charge cycles on it. A couple of dives back I used it for 4.5 hrs and it had not cut out by the time I finished my second dive without charge in between dives.
The light is sold.
