Didn't it cause an uproar because they had a fake permit? I remember earlier this year they were diving there and posting pictures and supposedly the caves were closed.

Everybody can do everything and dive everywhere as long as they close their mouth...
    Especcially true on Bonaire.
Expect lots of pics in the coming weeks on FB, and tons of cave divers from Holland and Germany will line to dive there, as Bonaire is the prefered hollidays location for them.
Before, to cave dive on Bonaire, you need to find a small cracks between rocks hidden behind cactus. In 6 months, just get by car to the huge cage protecting and locking the entrance of everything, and pay 200$ to get in...

I'm sure the permit wasn't fake. The 'problem' on Mallorca is the guy who has the keys to a abandoned property, amoung other things...
I don't think anyone really knows what going on.

I posted about it asking about the 'GUE project' but it turned out that there was no project and they changed the description on fb later on.

That's one thing that really sucks about social media. You used to have to put in work and research to find these places like that and now they being advertised...
Some of these caves, like the ones on Mallorca, just can't take traffic like Ginnie or JB...
I honestly believe that posting about these places will lead to more closures but I guess people don't give a s%&t when they only go there once to take a few pics.

It might have been a coincident but after people started posting about Mallorca in 2000 or 2012 or so, the situation went downhill quickly.

    Edit: 'Global Underwater Tourists' hahahaha.

Dude, seriously. If caves you dive had been shut down due to social media advertisement, you'd be PISSED! Is that not true, AJ?

I'm not saying JP or GUE caused the closures, they obviously did not. Closures/permit situation started a few years prior.

There are cave in Florida, people aren't supposed to post about, no? On the other hand, there are tons of caves you can use for GUE/xdeep advertisement, go to Ressel or Ginnie or some other commonly know cave.

You can take photos without naming or describing the system you're in. You can certainly refrain from publicly posting a video tutorial of how to access a system with a low carrying capacity.
