The park is open from about 7:30 (or whatever time the county guy gets there) until about 7pm (or whatever time the county guy gets there).

As far as procedures, watch out for boaters, the restrooms may or may not have been cleaned in the last month. They have not been asking for any money.

This link is the water level above the spring. If it is under 6 feet, the conditions are pretty good.

Checked out some gear there on Sunday and the spring basin was gin clear until the students showed up (cavern always stays clear). Flow out of the entrance is a bit higher than normal, but definitely not an issue. Might want to take a dive flag along and tie it to the log over the entrance. There were multiple boats launching from there Sunday and the boater safety factor seemed to go down as the consumption of beer went up. No charge to dive.

    Safe diving.

I was there last week around March 27th. Parks service was in and out several times and as stated before park hours were sun-up till sun-set. No charge for diving right now but there may be in the future as there is talk about a board walk going in and boat ramps per the park service people from Walton county. Vis in the basin sucked but was gin clear in the cave and cavern. Local fisherman estimated water levels about five foot higher than normal.
    Hope this helps!

    Hey----Ho----Lets go!!!!!!!!
