When you need 3 to 6 people each day to help the main construction crew, the amount of volunteer time really adds up. Through 3 weekends of work we have had 21 different folks working, for a total of 38 days on the project. Thank you Steve, Rick, RB, Beth, Colin, Kasey, Steve, Alan, Sandy, Stu, Jeff, Al, Andrew, Marilyn, Samantha, Tom, Atticus, Brad, Dave, & Bonnie for all of your efforts!

For the coming 4-day weekend (11/10-11/13), we could at least 3 people per day. I hope to see some of you at Madison Blue Springs this weekend.

    Mike

It's killing me I cannot come up and contribute. My drill batteries are charged, my tools are ready, but I am having a hard time justifying the total drive time against my current value to the project.

Knee surgery last week still has me pretty limited...

Thanks Jeff - your knee is not worth the risk. we will be there for a few more weeks just in case your knee allows it.

    Safe diving,

We have a couple of folks helping on Sunday. It sure would be nice to get some additional help for Friday or Saturday. Call or text me at 850-728-0098 if you think you could help. No construction skills needed.

We will be at it again this weekend (11/19-20), and could use some more help.

Curious, what is the status of the steps? Still looking for help or have I missed out?

I just heard back from Mike, work on Martz will resume this Saturday. (Probably Sunday too, but I can't confirm that)

My wife and I had the privileged of joining the team working on the Martz steps project today and they are nearly finsihed! A solid day or two next weekend and it should be complete. We were very impressed to see all of the hard work that has gone into this project from the volunteers thus far. It is a fantastic addition to the park and will make diving Martz much easier, and better yet, safer! Today the team finished all railings on the upper level deck/walk way, benches and tank rack on the upper deck, posts and decking on the mid-level deck (this space/deck is new compared to the old setup... a bonus!) and about 1/2 of the railings down to the water. All that remains is the railings around the mid-level deck and final touches on the railings down to the water.

The additions and changes are a vast improvement compared to what was there. Thank you and all the volunteers have been able to provide labor, and thank you again to all the monetary donations the project received.
