Does anyone know a ballpark figure on the cost to refill the large storage tanks of helium?

I can get 3 tanks for free as the store I work at is about to throw them away. They are filled with balloon grade helium right now and I haven't tested to see if there is any oxygen in the mix yet but I can always dump it and refill if needed.

I would contact your local welding gas supplier. Ask about refilling bottles that don't belong to them. There are different policies with different companies and areas of the country.

I leased 2 bottles w/ UHP last year for a little over $500 all together from nex-air in Panama City.

So Airgas will charge 235.00 for UHP 300cf @2400psi and 70.00 for tank rental per year and will clean, hydro, and vip my tanks. Not too bad. Now to figure out the best plan for a fill station. "I'll start a new thread
