    Default Hole In The Wall

The viz in Consolation Corridor last night was as good as I've ever seen it. I shot what I hope was some good video, I'll edit and post it in the next few days.

If you want to dive HITW, now's the time. Even the gold line run to the CC tee is clear (relatively).

    Looking forward to the video
Downstream was clear all the way to EOL on Friday. My first time in Mother of all Great Waters and it was spectacular. Like you said, great time to dive HITW before it turns.

Mother is a great destination, I've always loved all the little stalactites (mites?) on the ceiling. I need to get back there as well!

Bil, the following is how I remember it: stalaCtites start in the Ceiling and stalaGmites start in the Ground.

As for HITW vis, I was there in early August and experienced the same. I was very happy with the viz. I'm looking forward to the video!

I always remembered it as stalactites hold TIGHT on the ceiling, where stalagmites MIGHT fall down!

When the tites go down, the mites go up...

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment! I'm using two iTorch 5+ lights. I've just rigged a third one of them ("borrowed" from my wife). Hopefully this weekend I'll get the chance to try it out. The thought is to eliminate the binocular effect. It might even take a fourth but we'll try three first.
