We had 20+ cavers haul all of our gear down to the sump over 4 days. The haul out is still not complete but should be this weekend.

LOL! Not sure about diving the second sump yet. It was pretty tough just diving the first one. But definitely a very pretty sump.

Holy cow that is incredible. Few questions:
    1. What size tanks were you guys using? (curious about hauling gear)
    2. What was the approx travel time from entrance to the sump? Following Adam Haydock's blog, seems there's numerous vertical passage and rebelay's required.
    3. You've got to be kidding about not being sure about going back, right?

Great video and photos. Thanks for sharing!

Nice job! I wish I could have come with y'all. I got a report at the NSS convention from a young lady that helped haul gear.

    @ Sh0use,
    1) the tanks are 87 cuft carbon fiber tanks pushed to 6,000 psi. They hold about 100 cuft at that point. They weight 12 lbs when empty and 24-ish lbs when at 6,000 psi. You have to put 18 lbs of lead on them to make them negative with 500 psi in them.
    2) Travel time from the surface to the sump is approx. 3 hours. Yes, there are many drops and a few climbs just to get down there. Approx. 1,293' below the surface.
    3) We've been asked that question multiple times. It is a difficult cave to say the least. The dive itself was awesome but the logistics to get everything there and out and dealing with the wet and cold (38 degrees in there) is brutal. So I think we'd like to enjoy our success of this trip first before talking about going back. The Thorntons did the first attempts in there and I'm sure they would echo my sentiments about the work involved. At this point I'd help out with anyone that is interested in pushing our EOL further. I know the Utah cavers would like to see it pushed more. It has tremendous potential as the dye tracing that has been done there indicates.

Air temp ranges from 38 to 33 depending on your location in the cave. The water temp on my computer showed 40.4.
