Morrison Spring 6.11.16

I spent a little time at Morrison today, working out some gear configuration issues. I'm happy to report that it is diveable now. Viz in the basin is pretty good, even after the OW people in dive gear spent a great deal of time standing on the bottom. Honestly, I don't know why some folks even bother with fins. They just seem to walk about everywhere when under water. But I digress. The point is - conditions are pretty good at MS right now.

Yep, we dove it last weekend. Vis was between 25-30 at shallower depths, cavern was limitless. Was a half a dozen OW divers when we got there at 08:30, but had the place to ourselves the rest of the afternoon. The after-church crowd showed up around noon and the pavillion and "beach" started getting crowded with some lovely looking locals, lol.

To clarify, I had an instructor with me, so technically I could go into the cavern, but still didn't. Hung out at the mouth while he lit it up for my dive buddy and I. What a gorgeous place.
