Going to Little River and leaving your fins, or starting a dive without your fins on your feet, seems to be a thing these days.

I would love to hear the story behind that.

I have done exploratory sump dives without fins, since there wasn't room for them, not to mention it was so silty, you couldn't see anything anyway.

Forrest we do that at Twin Dees for going up & down the chimney ferrying gear. Without fins you can more easily control your movement in the restriction with both of your hands occupied.
