Cool Article: Help Blue Springs Become a State Park (The one by Ginnie)

I ran across this today and thought it would be of interest to everyone:

    http://oursantaferiver.org/wp/help-b...-a-state-park/

I have driven past Blue on the way to Ginnie hundreds of times but have never stopped. It seems more extensive than I thought.

Does anyone know (I am sure) if there is anything here that is big enough to dive?

Becoming a State Park I am fairly certain would open it to diving.

I have snorkeled down to the vent. It isn't very big, but still possible to get in.

Unfortunately, that article is from May 2015. Had anyone heard any recent news on this?

All I know is that Blue Springs is for sale. I doubt very seriously that the State would purchase it for the price they will be asking. I am more inclined that Ginnie would be the most favorable. Don't start a rumor because I have no idea if Ginnie has been contacted. Just thinking that I would be a more favorable move.

It is an outstanding vent & as azure as any of the karst windows I've ever seen. We paddled up the run last November, and it has been a long time since I've seen a spring this beautiful.
