    Default Peacock 1

Dove Peacock today and found it in pretty good condition. Going down the main line the color was green and the visibility was around 20 ft at best. There is silt on every part of the side of the cave and the ceiling. Absolutely beautiful.
On the Peanut side the visibility was slightly better. Probably around 30 ft but you could see other divers lights at the bottom of the Breakdown Room 50 ft away.
The temperature was a little cooler than normal but that would be understandable due to the conditions.
Paul Clark and I spotted a large dead grass carp next to the line at Pothole. There is not enough oxygen to sustain life that far back in the cave.

That is pretty bad when we think 20 - 30 ft vis is good now. I can remember when it was 50 + and it wasn't that long ago. Years ago for sure.

I also remember the last time I dove Peacock, everyone on the team got the worst ear infections you can imagine.

    An independent diver.

It's more fluid than being measured in years. I've seen it go to 50+ several times in the last four years. It's not a question of "what is it this year?" it's a question of "what is it this month?"

It's like Florida weather, if you don't like it wait a few minutes. It'll change.

I posted a video on the CDS webpage under FORUM. You will get a good luck from Olsen to Peanut including the Nicholson Tunnel. https://nsscds.org/

Dove P1 today... Basin and cavern were super clear however peanut tunnel had about 50 foot visibility. Great dive, not crowded!

How did the undergarment work for you?

A lot of other people use this but I feel that it is very appropriate!
