    Nice video.
So what's the story of why the cars are in a mine?
I looked it up and read that there was a collapse that led to the flooding, but that predates the vintage of the cars...
    Just curious.

...still playin with Tonka Toys in the sandbox...and blowin bubbles in the water...

More accurately the collapse led to the closing of the mine and that obviously stopped all de-watering efforts so thats what led to the flooding.

To answer your question 800' of very cold water hides tons of problems. The mine is located in a junk yard by one of the most expensive areas in the country just north of New York City, the mine was active while New York was still building its identity just after the industrial revolution while organized crime was booming and the great depression was beaten.

The stories surrounding this site range from murders, the location of a getaway car used to rob a Mafia controlled restaurant (Dan Wright recovered the safe from the actual car) to the final resting place of a rape/murder victim (who's body is being searched for by Dan Wright & Co.). The locals avoid the place because tragedy seems to surround its entire history.

    Hey Ted,
Did you hear about Neil's accident?
Anyway to find the previous owner from the plates on the Chevy?

I did, I'm glad they all survived. Bikes and deer don't mix well

Good question on the plates. It wouldn't be hard to acquire a decent list of cars/plates that are down there, if some police agency may want to close out some stolen vehicle cases
