GUE has their contact information posted here

If you're not just trolling (which I suspect is the real goal here), that should get you the answers you're interested in.
FWIW I was able to join a GUE project before I had taken any GUE training, just asked someone on the current project to vouch for me and showed up. I had to follow their rules, but that's expected. Brian (LiteHedded) did as well. I've never heard of anyone who was sincerely interested in contributing to a GUE project who was turned away in recent years.
Trolling? Trolling for what? Give me a break. If they would shut you out of the caves in your 'neighborhood', while other people post picture on facebook. That wouldn't piss you off? What would you do? I don't even understand why anyone would think I'm trolling. I asked if anyone know anything about this 'project', and that's not a legit question?
I hope the same thing won't happen to you in the future, dude.
Why would I get GUE training to dive sidemount caves? That doesn't make any sense.
I suspect your tone is giving the majority of readers the impression you're trolling. Your tone is clearly hostile towards GUE all through this thread. I don't believe GUE controls access to the cave, they simply gained access, so it seems your anger is perhaps pointed at the wrong group.
As for caves in my area are closed and only open to specific individuals, we've got a ton. By resorting to talking to the permit holder instead of insulting the permit holders all over the internet, I've been able to dive a handful of these. These are just off the top of my head, there are far more.
Wakulla/Leon Sinks
Silver Glenn
Rose Sink
Weeki Wachee
Madison (DPV Use permit only)
Jug Hole (year round diving, permit only)

Otter Spring
Old Belamy
5 Hole
Suwanacoochee
Little Salt
Little Blue
M2 Blue
Beacon Woods
If GUE had a genuine scientific project in the Mallorcan caves and made an application for a License to the Balearic Authorities and were to obtain a License to carry it out, sidemount or by whatever other technique, it would be a very good and welcome outcome.
The issue here is that this is just tourist fun diving (I am assuming no paying students were involved with the instructors in these caves hence no commercial benefit was derived) and with no genuine License from the Direccion General de Medio Ambiente in protected EU caves, while 30 law abiding cavers have applied for said License and have been waiting for 1.5 year for one.
This is raising a few issues locally and amongst a number of concerned law abiding divers.

Plan all diving so that it can be completed safely without the action or inaction of a fellow diver.
