Default Beuchat Tanks, bigguns 12 liter, 127 cuft

I don't ever remember seeing any of these tanks in cave country or south Florida, but they showed up at my steps this week.

Looks like they were born June 1993, I did the hydro and VIP this weekend, so they are clean and ready to be used. They have a max fill of 2900 printed on the tank and some odd valves.

Very heavy; scale says 64 lbs (full of air)

I remember seeing that type tank in Divers Supply at Macon in the 90's. Very Heavy.

Something not right about the numbers. 85s are 12 liters. 127s should be closer to 17 liters.

I have heard about these and as stated heavy. I thought lp 120's were 19 L. At least my German buddy told me that.

The tank has "140" printed on it below the Beauchat logo. If we assume that means it can hold 140 cubic feets of gas, then back of the envelope math says that's about 20 liters (at about 200bar).

We'll only really know if we can convince TJ to pull the valve and pour a liter of water at a time. What say you TJ?

Are you a gas cylinder pawn shop now? You're finding some weird tanks lately.

We had some in the shop last year for vis and hydro. The guy diving them was about 6'9" and 350lbs. They are monster tanks!

Probably 6'11" before he started diving them.

They got a 12L stamp on it from the mfg. Must mean something else. Jon, I'm just trying to find you more sump tanks.

Aren't all dive shops? They actually belong to Mike Young, who own's Mike's Pawn shop down the road.
