Default Current Conditions At Little River(As of 02-27-06)

The entire spring basin and run is filled with tannic water and has about 10' visibility.

A line is tied to the right side of the steps near the bottom so you can follow it into the cavern entrance.

The tannic water is only covering the cavern entrance and the entire cavern is clear of any tannic water.

Because of the high water conditions, expect to reach a depth of about 115' during the dive.

Outflow is light to moderate, depending on where you are in the system.

    Visibility is fair-to-good.

We did a dive at Little River yesterday, (Tuesday the 28th), and had a great dive. One other diver was there while we were. There is a line running from the lower submerged stairs all the way down to the main line. Nice conditions as far as I'm concerned....

Dove LR yesterday (Wed 3/1/06). The tannic is starting to move away from the steps now. On deco, the tannic does not start until the rocks you encounter when you are in open water, way up above the log and the sand bottom. I would say the tannic was only 6 feet deep now. We had an awesome dive, almost made it to the dome room. The conditions are excellent right now. There is a temporary/permanent line that runs from the steps, into the cave, wrapped around the horseshoe stake, and runs to the mainline. So a primary reel is not needed.
