Little river closing

We dove Little River today, unlocked and re-locked the gate as we went in, other divers came in while we were getting ready. When we finished our dive the parking lot was full of people, someone didn't lock the gate behind them. Maybe we need a sign on the gate telling divers to keep the gate locked.

We were given the combination with the explicit instruction to lock the gate when we entered and exited the park. We were at Little River on Christmas Day, and a locked gate did not stop people from leaving their cars in front of the gate and simply climbing over it, complete with coolers. Some folks also came by water: at one point, there was a motor boat (with the engine engaged) right over the cavern entrance. Telling them all that the park was closed was useless.

The stop sign has ripped it's grommets and is no longer in place. It was hanging by a thread by the bottom one only. A new one needs to be installed. The prior was an NACD metal sign. I will gladly install an NSS-CDS sign, however would the NACD like to replace it with one of theirs? We probably just need to have one in by the time the park reopens. A metal one would probably last longer with the flow and floods.

Dove there yesterday. New sign looks great. Conditions are perfect at LR right now. Flow was way down. Crystal clear, blue and a great dive.
