For those of you that do unmarked jumps, I have a line arrow permanently tied to the line of a gap reel. Instead of putting a separate arrow on the line, then tying into it, I have elimated one step, and it works great. I just attach the arrow to the main line, and I am off to the races.

What about a cookie, so one does not confuse the poor other divers. if you use a cookie you will have to remember which way you cam from.

I do this too! I threaded the line through a hole in the very middle of the arrow and tied a barrel knot. if you attach it anywhere else on the arrow you might yank it loose from the guideline. if you double lock it anything's solid. I even do this on my safety reel; deployment for the "lost buddy" drill is ninja quick.

on topic, I don't think marked jumps robbed me of any enjoyment.

Are you talking about the fated mask from Thedecostop.com? If so, please be sure to post a follow-up on that thread once you give it a new resting home so we can follow its path.

But then again I dont mind diving the same place over and over again because I always see something new.
