Many people are new to cave diving and never got a chance to know Pat because failing health prevented her from coming out and socializing. She was an equal part of Cave Excursions, even though not a cave diver, she was well aware of cave diving and our sites, and was quick with a comment. You could always pull up a seat next to Pat, and get a good laugh, or cut through the cave politics with her personal sense of clarity. I have known her for many years, even before there was a Cave Excursions, and her presence will be missed.

This is heartbreaking. If Bill or Linda see this, they know I'm thinking about them.

    Unhappy

So sad to hear this. I first met Pat and Bill in the mid-90's and I always enjoyed sitting and talking to them both. Sometimes getting fills took several hours because of the spirited and interesting conversation. I'll always remember Pat for her unique humor and her brutally frank and honest opinions, she spoke her mind and never held back. Like most others, I always tried to stay on Pat's good side.
Pat, you were as much a part of cave diving as anyone I know. Thanks for being you!
Bill and Linda, please accept my sincere condolences.
