Cave Spring GA

I'm doing a last minute trip to Chattanooga TN, and flying into ATL. While googling my directions, I noticed a town called Cave Spring in GA.

Which leads to the question of if there is any diving in cave spring? Anyone know?

I did try to search, but for some reason searching for cave, spring and GA doesn't limit things too much

Georgia has several springs and even a few divable caves. Most are not near Atlanta.

I live about 1.25 hours from Cave Spring. As far as I know there is no diveable cave in that area. There are some on the Flint River but most on private property and inaccessible from what I have gathered. There are a couple that can be accessed but you'll have to locate them as it's hard to get the coordinates. Your best option would be to find someone who knows where they are and see if they will go with you there as a guide. There are some near Atlanta I've heard about as Rob mentioned. There is a website but can't recall it that lists 4 caves on the flint, one is Radium which is permit only but there are 2 or 3 on there that the public can access.

I "tried" to dive Cave spring years ago. It is coming out of a hole a little over a foot in diameter. My shoulders were just too wide, and I am not a large person. Since that time, the city has shoved a pipe into the entrance to get water for the city, and built a wall around the whole place.

If you want to dive near Chattanooga, PM me. There are a lot of places, just none in NW Georgia.

Forrest I might hit you up on the diving near Chattanooga some time. I'm headed up there this week for a funeral, but I have a feeling I'll be back at least one more time. Even if I had time this go around, I just took all my tanks in for hydro.
