Pretty straight forward...
Anyone know the conditions at Eagle's Nest lately?

Bird told me yesterday it was 'bad' in the basin down to 100', then 15 to 20' He was there Wednesday. However, you know it can change overnight.
I do, I dove it Sunday...
Tannic on the surface, starts to clear up at about 80' deep.
At 140 it's 35' of vis down to 180 each direction. Peeked upstream and downstream, it looks clearer the further in you go.
Bird! OMG that's a name from my past! He taught me trimix twenty years ago but I haven't kept in touch with him. We dove Diepolder 2 and he threw his stage bottles in at the shore and then went back to the truck and we all suited up. Then when we waded in to make the dive we couldn't find his stage bottles. Sure enough! we couldn't ####### believe it! The bottles had tumbled over the ledge and were resting at the bottom of the 200' deep shaft!
On Tuesday it was ~5' in the basin and down the line, improved in the ballroom and could see the top of the mound from 95'. Continued to improve on the main line but not much - was around 20'-25' at Lockwood jump and same the other way at beginning of Randys room.
Amazingly the bugs weren't too bad in the parking lot this day........
After an amazing dive at the Nest today, I have to ask the question:
Were you using an HID or LED primary?
Is your primary light "Gold Line" approved?
LED, a new Dive Rite one, and yes it was turned on.......
It's been quite a few places, Gold Line, jump line, thin tannic line, knotted line and buried in silt line - but not no line![]()
