Back up computer

Has anyone made a detailed review of SubGravity's H3? I have a Petrel 2 that I use as my backup when diving CCR (primary is a Predator), and as a primary when diving OC. I just ordered an H3 but won't be able to dive it for a couple of months. I've heard some really good things, but haven't really read any detailed reviews yet.

The Petrel 2 is a fantastic computer. I also like the screen a bit more on my Predator, but I haven't had problems with the Petrel 2 and I can see it just fine (ok...direct sunlight isn't awesome). I've started a couple of threads on other forums, but haven't heard much about the H3. Curious to know why people like it so much. I'd especially like to hear from people that have used it for CCR diving. How did it handle a bailout situation?

Believe it or not the Veo runs the same algo as the predator and can be used in gauge mode which is what my in2ition was always set in as a back up.

it doesn't run the same algorithm as the predator. It uses a modified version without gradient factors and other fudge factors, so you can try to approximate it, but you have to remember that when you are running these recreational computers in computer mode, they are not designed for proper decompression, they can do it, but their algorithms are tailored for NDL diving. If you're doing deco, buy a computer designed for it, or run it in gauge mode and carry tables.

The only way to guarantee accuracy on a true backup computer is to have the same algorithm running, and that means a computer running truly identical algorithms with the same GF's put in, or VPM with the same conservation factor.

Have you used the H3 with a CCR? If you did, what did you do any bail outs to test it? Nobody has posted a full review and I am picking my up later this summer and haven't figured out enough about it.
