Subgravity H3. It doesn't get any better than that.
why not upgrade your primary? New Petrel is pretty snazzy and quite nice price wise.
I just got a SubGravity H3 and I am liking it a lot, I am using it as a backup on CCR and primary for OC. I would not get a Suunto Zoop because there is no gauge mode and the algorithm is not user changeable, and I personally do not like Oceanic. Get something that will run Gradient Factors that way your two computers match and you don't bend one.

It's not the same, but I like it much better. The Predator gets much more washed out in the sun (not a huge deal for cave diving) but I don't think the screen is any better. The H3 is an awesome looking watch-sized computer, and it feels really good in your hand. There are a few issues with it still preventing me from getting one, but I'm a big guy and don't mind the size of the Petrel. One big argument for a Petrel is it'll function the same as your Predator (practically) so you won't have to worry about UI changes when going from one wrist to the other.
I agree with Matt, above, though about getting another computer on the same settings. I'd hate to placate one while simultaneously pissing off the other.
The criticism I always read is that the petrel's blue text isn't as nice as the predator's green....but you can change the colors of text in the petrel, so I never understood that. I set mine to a shade of green because it doesn't blow my acclimation to the dark like the bright blue text does.

Get something that will run the same algorithm you're running on the Predator, whether Buhlmann or VPM, otherwise, it won't be all that valuable as a back-up. There are usually used Predators and Petrels listed in the ScubaBoard classifieds.
Bugger having a recreational computer as a back-up. Did it for a few years and the limitations became more apparent as I gained experience and and began conducting dives that my recreational computer just wasn't meant to do. Not to mention all the other inconveniences of a hard-to-read screen in the caves and stuff - again, it just wasn't meant for such an application. I flew it in gauge mode for a while and then thought "sod it" and consigned my Aeris to a storage bin. I bought a second decompression computer identical to my first (a Nitek Q). Nice little computer and I got a good deal on it. But the Petrel 2 and the Sub Gravity definitely have their fans, and for good reason.
