Default WTB: OMS LP66 steel tanks (preferably doubles)

I'm just starting down the technical diving path (just completed TDI Intro to Tech and Advanced Nitrox). Now I'm looking for a set of doubles. My instructor has suggested that the OMS LP 66 steel tanks would be a good fit for someone of my small stature. So, I'm seeking two of these tanks. If you have LP 66 tanks (doubled up would be great) that you'd be willing to sell, please let me know your asking price. I'm located in central North Carolina but would be willing to travel pretty far to pick them up or pay shipping.

    Many thanks.

This is a nice tank, but never really caught on, so I rarely,if ever see them. If I might suggest look for LP80s One thing to remember, even though your instructor is looking out for your size for tank recommendations, small tanks like this can reduce your dive time due to computing dissimilar tanks with your buddy.

Lp85s are basically the same size as aluminum 80s and are great tech tanks favored by many

Thanks Kelly and TheRedDiver. I was looking at tank specs today and thinking that the Faber LP80s looked pretty promising as far as volume, weight, buoyancy and length. Perhaps I will see if I can find a set of Faber LP80 doubles.

I can't remember ever seeing Faber LP-80s. I see Faber LP-85s and Pressed Steel LP-80s all the time. But the buoyancy characteristics (and weight) of those two are night and day different. I think the Faber LP-85s are going to be what you will end up buying.

I own a pair, and they are great tanks. I have used them as big gas stages because they ride so well, or sidemounting for small passages. The length makes them a wonderful tank and prefer them over LP85s.
