I don't have one, but I have heard multiple times that they are very dependable.

Curious, how are they after the sale for warranty work? The common theme I read on many forums is what companies are providing the best customer service when choosing a HID light after the sale.

I have a sartek 10w without a focusable head... The light is great with one drawback. The switch isn't protected like the DR one is so it gets bumped on all the time. You always have to disconnect the battery when you're not using it. Other than that the light is great!!

I have a 21W that started out as a 18W. I really like the light and have had only minimal problems with it with good customer service, albeit a long delay waiting on new bulb source.

I don't use the original 2 foot long battery canister much anymore. Is a good strong housing, although it is so small in diameter they used tiny clasps to seal the lid. This always scared me some that they were going to pop and the 2 foot long battery pack was going to slide out.

    Default Excelent Service

I have had my Sartek 10W hid for a couple of years, I love it. Very reliable.

Let me tell you a little story from December '05. It is Saturday about 10PM at night and I am sorting through my gear getting ready to leave for cave country on Thursday night. I go to test my light and it doesn't come on. It just clicks at me. I sit down and get Sartek's email address from their website and email them. When I get up in the morning I have an email that says, "Overnight us your light on Monday. You will have a loaner or your light back before you leave on Thursday!" I was flabbergasted! I sent them my light, I had blown out my ballast. I had them put a new twist switch on and I had my light for the trip.

I have nothing but good things to say about the people at Sartek.

    Default Sartek

I have a Sartek 10 watt focusable head that I have had for almost 2 years without any issues. This included beating the dodo out of it during all of the cave classes with lights out, air share spontaneous drills. I lost the rubber cover for the head due to not having time to stow it away while going through cornflakes when the instuctor induced failure occurred with the simultaneous out of air diver needing help. The only problem I have had with the switch is that it seemed all too easy for the instructor to get to it! I have heard that their service is great and that is one of the reason I bought one but thankfully I have not had to find out yet. Hoodlum
