Thank you for reporting this Tony. This is a very good book that is very enlightening. I hope all can attend,if not, do yourself a favor and get a copy of this book, learn why the springs you enjoy diving are dying.

FWIW I still have a copy of Bulletin 31, and several of the springs listed that I have recently tried to find are totally dried up.

Forrest is correct there are some springs that are no longer flowing. We have a tendency to blow off a certain place because it didn't "have a divable cave",but there are some places hitting close to home we need to take note of. Jug Hole in the last few years has seen an quite notable decrease in flow. Ginnie Springs has nitrate levels which have gone up a lot. Everything in the Mill pond is spewing out nitrates.

Any chance of ordering a signed copy? (paid in advance, of course)

Try contacting them via their web site https://howardtodumfloridaspringsins...ldapricot.org/
They are a small enough organization that they can handle requests like that. FWIW, become a member while you are they are there.

For most cave divers the problems are NIMBY,so as large group as cave divers are , we don't function as a group to resolve the future threats to the sport. That being the case, individual support of grass root action groups can help preserve spring health. So think about it, poorly financed and nonunified groups are our future- support is needed.

I've witnessed a small spring on the Econfina completely stop flowing in the past few years.
