Kelly this is put together from different people. It is actually sponsored from a few organizations and the county I think.
I put it up so in case someone else cannot make it to Telford they could go here or maybe go on Thursday and Friday.

Just think of the good workout you could get doing both of those clean ups! I'm going to try to be there. Cindy Butler

Yes, It's dirty, hard work. I know you are a old hand at this yourself Andrew. You get sore, you may even need to be up to date on your tetanus shot. I also know satisfaction of seeing a sink clean after all the hard work, the joy of shared work with freinds and the knowledge that I am physically doing something to help my environment. We have a choice as adult human beings, we can either watch the world we live in rot on TV or every once and a while step up and do something. Personally I don't like living with myself when I don't do something now and then. I think this is pretty cool, it's a lot of work to set these clean ups and two in one weekend! WOW! I can feel like I'm good for garbage clean ups for a year after this! Hope to see you there, Cindy Butler

Has anyone considered notifying local press? Too often, diving only gets press when an accident has occurred. How about turning the tables a bit and doing a little Self Promotion? I can see the headline now. Cave Divers do their part to keep environment natural, or Cave Divers pick up after Rednecks. I don't see a bad side to it!

Be careful now... Even though I'm well educated, and considered a "Professional" in my field, and I love to cave dive, my parents are from Georgia and they grew up in Dixie Co, so... I could be considered a Redneck.

I dive the San Marcos River at last twice a year.
To date I have plled my weight plus out of the spring river.
Highpoints inlude 55 gallon drum, a good 10 lbs of batteries, plastic shoes, and beer containers- glass and cans.
While I am not in the neighborhood I agree that pulling stuff out makes you feel Great!

Good luck and watch out for needles.

Thank you to any and all who participate in this clean up effort. I wish you all the best for a great day. I will not be able to attend as I have made a previous commitment to be at the Telford Clean Up.

    See you on the Bottom!
