Good point Kelly. I was surveying in TN this past weekend, and it was dry cave, so I took Jason's paper out, and use my regular "rite in the rain" paper in my book. The cave was flooded, my paper saturated and I had a pretty hard pencil. Good luck trying to erase saturated paper. I do believe there's different versions of paper for dry caving, as the paper I had was from Inner Mountain, and didn't work well, but the person on book had some that was taking the water a bit better. It's hard to explain, but you can feel the amount of plastic in the paper which would make it a better choice. A softer pencil would do the trick, but I like to sketch with a sharper line, etc. Help Jason!?

Jason has some "dry" survey paper on the same stuff as his diving paper. It has inclination rather than depth. I have some you can use, until you can get some from Jason.

Inner Mountain Outfitters sells the normal write in the rain survey sheets.

The trick when surveying and the paper gets wet is to never erase anything. It just smudges horribly. And don't bear down too hard obviously.

Even when it gets muddy you're better off just dunking it in the water as you go rather than wiping. The paper will be fine once it dries.

Thanks for the paper Skip. Hopefully I will use some this weekend!

I would be interested in buying a couple more packs if someone wanted to set up a group bulk purchase.

"Jason paper." haha. Hey, sorry i missed out on this, I don't check this forum much any more. So, here is the deal, I still have some from my last order- both the underwater print, and the dry cave print, both on the durawrite paper (plastic.) It's $28 a pack of 100 sheets, and that includes the shipping and everything. (standard usps) Drop me an email at j@rchrds.org, and be prepared to paypal (as a gift, so I don't lose more bucks) the amount to me at that same email address. Sorry for the delay, Marbry just gave me a heads up.

Do they come in a Jason binder?
