    Default Where to next?

Ok... coming up on 10 dives post class most of which are at Peacock either down Olsen or Peanut lines. Have tried Manatee twice and the flow was just to much and same with Little River. Going to MegaDive this weekend and plan on doing some dives at Ginnie, but what some other options?
NAUI cave 1 limitations so, only 2 jumps(returning via those jumps, no circuits), no deco and 100' bottom. My last dive was my first real time doing a jump and that was my following my dive buddy.

What would be a good next cave?

    Thanks,

    Tim

Cow, potentially but not much to see in Downstream and you aren't allowed in Upstream
Can you do traverses? If so, then Grand Traverse is doable on thirds with one potentially 2 jumps depending on if you stop at Olsen or just hop onto Peanut.
Ginnie, though if you didn't like LR's flow, you won't much like Ginnie's either. My suggestion is stay at Peacock and see a bunch of the rest of the stuff there. So much to see with those limitations, OG side has a bunch of stuff, Waterhole tunnel, xover has some lines coming off of it, Cisteen line, Nicholson line to Cisteen line from Olsen, whole bunch of dives you can do before you get bored.

Ginnie is a great option, just make sure you go with someone who will show you how to stay out of the flow.

As to Peacock, take a look at the map and figure out what looks interesting to you. There is so much off the main lines.
I would suggest to start out the Well, it's a small challenge to find and a rewarding dive.

Was just looking at a map of P1, can you see daylight coming through the PotHole? I've swam by it enough, just didn't know it was there. It took the jump to Nicholson this weekend to actually start recognizing places on the map. Before it was just a big straight tunnel to Olsen (even though it is quite curvy).

The Pothole exit is probably pretty much clogged, I think it has been since 2013.

I would start from P1 and try to find the well, it's a long jump, unmarked too - an awesome passage.
Next there is the old gold line. It's a jump almost across from the well (to the left), maybe 50' or 100' further. Not many people dive it.
    Just work your way up.
Needless to say, the waterhole tunnel (on the Peanut line) is absolutely breathtaking...

As to Orange Grove, there are jumps too, just check out the map and try to find them

We still have to do Orange Grove, though was under impression that it was single passage, no jumps. Planning on lots of time at Peacock, but want to mix it up a bit too. Don't mind the flow, but it really cuts into my $ to dive time ratio, it was WAY to easy to hit 3rds at Little River. Will see this weekend how bad Ginnie is going to be, I don't expect it to be so great for a newby. Looking forward to the Madison Cleanup in 2 weeks, enjoyed it as a cavern dive so can't wait to return for a cave dive.

No traverses, have to return via my jumps.

Thanks though, will have to check into Cow (though based on your upstream/downstream, I can't do siphons either)

Traverses I believe break standards but could be wrong but either way is nor a dive to be attempted by a cave 1 diver. No offense meant to tbone

Yeah, they do... but I appreciate his comment anyway DEFINITELY not ready for that level, even if it didn't exceed my level. Kind of silly to get THAT excited over doing a jump, but it was a thrill.

Madison's flow is raging right now. Not a good time if u wish to maximize ur dive time.

As said by others, do orange grove to challenge and orange grove and jump to the right onto distance tunnel. Good practice.

If you are good on gas, do Nicholson to wishbone or cistern to wishbone.

At ginnie, practice ur line work in the catacombs. Go see the gizzards up on the right before the keyhole, checkout keyhole bypass. If going further, go up hill 400, flow is lesser up that way. July springs may be pushing it, but its gorgeous. Cut before thirds since its siphoning out.

There's plenty of cave for you to see in both ginnie and peacock. You can venture to JB.
