I"m sure a pass is in my future, have been waiting till I got a chance to do a dive or two before I decided... Depth will be an issue, I can't go deeper than 100' anyway. Temp vs time however I am quite comfy with hour long dives in shorts/t-shirt, but if I were having to do deco I'd be chilly after 10 minutes of not moving. I am a BIT envious of your Wednesday afternoon dives that would SO break the monotony of being an IT contractor. Not complaining about monotony but my job today has been wiping old hard drives and resolving an issue with a dell drive array... so a LOT of hurry up and wait. Alas the posts for the last couple of days

Why yes that was me in shorts and a t-shirt oops, a drysuit @ the 700' marker

I'm taking today off from the Wednesday night dive to go for a run around campus.

You won't break 100' in Ginnie swimming, unless you deliberately swim under the arch in the floor on the hill 400 line. But you will hit 95'. There's a lot of cave to see there, heck you can do several dives without going through the lips and/or keyhole, which would keep you shallower than 80'. I'm booked pretty solid for the next couple of months, but if you want to get together some saturday there to see what it's about, let me know.

I hit 100 ffw exactly on Sunday while helping a student tie in a jump for the expressway circuit.

BTW -- Tim, the NAUI standard is "100 fsw". That's 104' if your computer is set for freshwater, this point was stressed to me by my CD when I did the NAUI cave 1 instructor course.

If you continue to work on your technique, trim and buoyancy, you'll find that you spend less time "hitting" the cave and cave floor.

    Good luck!

I need to get white fins first. Especially in time for the galaxy dive.

My god it's not like you're going to integrate if your computer reads 101ft.

    Sheesh.
