What is a megadive?
What is a megadive?
Looks fancy.
When and where does this happen? Must plan accordingly.
Thought about it some more and hey, probably you guys have a good point. Jug is in my top 5 favorite fun dives but I shouldn't assume everyone has the necessary skills and experience.
If you do full cave in sidemount I think there are a lot of things to learn about restrictions and safety...and then go dive jug hole. Awesome dive!
See you at Megadive this weekend Draker!

I can attest, that in spite of the model, you take great pics.

isn't Jug closed for the summer? Thought it closed last week and won't open until October
Was that Draker in the grass skirt?
At any rate, back on topic.
Tim, some people gave you some very good suggestions. I personally feel that if you can learn how to read the cave and dive in high flow caves, you'll be able to dive anywhere. Little River (free) and Manatee (you have a pass) and Devil's Ear ("Ginnie") are great options. I also think anyone that lives in this area and is learning how to cave dive should invest in a Ginnie pass and dive Devil's Ear/Eye every chance they can -- with the pass you can go in the evenings, or early mornings, before other locations open.
There is so much cave to see within relative swimming distance in Devil's Ear that you can keep yourself occupied for quite a long time.
The downside to all three is your bottom times will be limited due to the depth. But if you're diving in just a pair of shorts, you're not really interested in doing long dives anyway.![]()
